The CommUnity Zone is thrilled to be engaged with the Local Music Collective to bring a series of concerts to our space, featuring local musical artists! These concerts are planned to take place on the second Wednesday of each month, with $10 admission to support the Zone, the Collective, and the performers.
For more information about our series, including upcoming artists, visit the page and follow our social media accounts! |
Since 2020, the CommUnity Zone has been inspired to light up the darkness of years fraught with uncertainty and division. It’s been our goal to transform an already beautiful downtown into something truly incredible. With the support of the city and our amazing volunteers, we’ve strung lights in trees, on structures, and everywhere we could reach – and this winter, we’re doing it again! We have displays on Lewisburg’s historic lampposts and in downtown Hufnagle Park.

Technology Tutoring
Our Tech Tutoring program enlists students to provide basic computer and technology training to older adults and others who may need help with a device. In return, the students develop their leadership, communication, and teaching skills. And everyone has fun! |
Support for Community Groups
The Susquehanna Mediation Center, Girl Scouts in the Heart of PA, the Bucknell Institute for Lifelong Learning, The Hub for Progress, high school groups, and so many other local organizations, institutions, and individuals, too, have taken advantage of support offered to all from the CommUnity Zone. |
Youth Empowerment Grant Program
Our Youth Empowerment Grant Program helps our young neighbors bring to life their visions for community improvement. Pictured here is Willow Desemeci who organized a very successful clothes drive for the poor and is a contributor to our monthly newsletter from time to time. |
