Teach Against Trafficking is a student-run anti-human trafficking initiative based in Central Pennsylvania that provides resources to educate our community about the importance of consent, the prevalence of human trafficking, and how action can be taken against this crisis.
Teach Against Trafficking started when Catherine Jacobson and Suzanne Vo attended Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) in August of 2019. Attendees were tasked with developing a project that would reduce human trafficking in their communities. Teach Against Trafficking began as a single presentation that taught about consent, human trafficking, and legislation regarding human trafficking. After presenting their project proposal to the Lewisburg Sunrise Rotary Club, Catherine and Suzanne realized the potential impact it could have on their community. It has since expanded into a broader educational initiative that seeks to end human trafficking through awareness and advocacy. |
