What is PlayZone?
CommUnity Zone and Gaspipe Theatre Company will offer a time of improvisation, play, and spontaneous laughter as we engage in theatre games and improvisational activities. Designed to pull people of all ages out of isolation and solitude to try something they have never tried before, PlayZone will offer costumes, props, and prompts to create connection and creativity. Hilarity is bound to ensue! Weekend workshop dates coming soon! Saturday Night with the PlayZone Players For those who are ready to take their improv to the next level, we will take a page from our past and bring it alive for our future. Like the old-time Saturday Night Follies shows, and perhaps a little like Saturday Night Live, our improvisational group will host a night of performances with skits and acting games interspersed with musical guests. Once again, this will be an opportunity for community, togetherness, and merriment. |

A time set aside to share stories of exclusion and difference, Press Play will utilize improvisational players in the re-enacting of shared audience stories. This provides validation to the storyteller, evokes empathy from the audience members, and also creates understanding as people of difference realize how their stories often mirror the stories of others.
Saturday Night on the Serious Side
Our improvisational group will host a night of performances with skits and acting games interspersed with musical guests and poets, with a theme or thread of social awareness connecting them.
